Recognising Feminine Divinity

"The goal for Red Tent Aotearoa is to build and hold spaces that invite the women attending to rise to a higher standard than has been modeled for us in today’s society. To make that container safe enough that they can remove the armour."

About Red Tent Aotearoa

Red Tent Aotearoa is dedicated to supporting women in New Zealand. We are committed to fostering a sense of community that offers a nurturing, judgment-free space filled with love, friendships, and laughter.

Red Tent Aotearoa is dedicated to providing a safe environment where women can access comprehensive education and holistic practices. We encourage open dialogues about women's concerns and offer an informative platform that covers the different stages of womanhood, from adolescence and womanhood to motherhood and the senior years.

Our goal is to establish a Red Tent in every neighborhood across Aotearoa. We aim to create spaces where women can feel heard, connect with one another, and be entirely themselves. Here, they can share their joys, sorrows, and be surrounded by like-minded friends.

Red Tent Aotearoa operates under the principles of Sacred Commerce, where the success of an individual is measured by their contribution to others.

We emphasize the importance of seeking and receiving help while fostering a culture of respect and open communication.

Our primary goal is to offer a holistic approach that empowers women on their journey of self-discovery.

The potential for growth and fulfillment knows no bounds when you experience safety, support, visibility, and active listening, all while realizing that you are never on this journey alone.

By embracing our ancestral wisdom, rekindling our connection with nature, and returning to traditional ways of learning, we can initiate a profound healing process. Furthermore, shedding the societal "masks" we wear will allow us to work collectively towards the healing of both ourselves and the planet.

Join us for a Medicine Drum Emergence with Rachelle Charman

Many of you have asked for a drum-making experience, and here it is! This workshop is for those who feel the call to create and birth a Medicine Drum — a powerful tool of healing, connection, and rhythm.

  • Awaken to the Sacred Healing Medicine of the Drum.
  • Connect to ancient wisdom as you craft this sacred tool.
  • Honour the spirit of the Sacred Animal through ceremony, gratitude, and intention.

The drum connects us back to the heartbeat of Mother Earth and the rhythm of our own hearts, guiding us to heal, balance, and nurture ourselves.

Date: Sunday, 6th September 2025 | Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Location: Mary Potter Community Centre, Christchurch

Red Tent is such a beautiful and time honoured tradition that Jill and her team have tweaked for contemporary times. It's a time each month for women to hold space, support and share with each other.

I have been attending Red Tent Aotearoa events for the last few years. The variety and knowledge of the facilitators is transformational.
